February salaries settled as bank lifts freeze on Savoy Resort’s account |06 March 2021

Staff of the Beau Vallon-based Savoy Resort and Spa Hotel yesterday went on strike and refused to work after failure by the company to pay them their February salaries.

They initially learned that they will receive only half, or 50 percent of their basic salaries, a percentage which falls under the FA4JR scheme.

According to a staff member who got in contact with Seychelles NATION, they were told that the hotel’s account was frozen and that the necessary procedures were being done to reverse the process.

It was later confirmed in the afternoon by a member of the management team that the freeze on the hotel’s account had been lifted and that all the staff had received their February salaries.
