SPTC bus involved in accident at Sea View

The Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) has confirmed one of its buses was involved in an accident which occurred at around 5.40 yesterday morning at Upper North East Point.

The bus was travelling on route number 25A from Sea View Estate, North East Point to Victoria with 16 passengers.

Eight passengers suffered mostly minor injuries and were transported to the Seychelles Hospital where they remained under observation during the day before they were released and their condition has been described as stable except for one who has been admitted.

The 62-year-old woman underwent a CT scan and has been admitted for further observation while she awaits the scan results.

SPTC has opened an investigation to establish the cause of the accident.
