Postal Regulator gives update on various services, projects

366,000 shipments processed in 2024, warehouse project on course

The courier sector in Seychelles recorded a significant growth in 2024, with a total of approximately 366,000 shipments processed in the country. This represents a 25 percent increase in mail-related shipments compared to last year. However, there was a 5 percent decrease in shipments handled by the traditional postal service.

The statistics were revealed in an update interview last week by the chief executive of the Postal Regulator, Neddy Padayachy, when giving the latest developments in the courier and postal service sector for the year 2024, along with promising progress on the much-anticipated new e-commerce warehouse and the national addressing system.
