FPAC raises procurement concerns at Local Government Ministry hearing
The Ministry of Local Government & Community Affairs yesterday became the final government entity to appear before the National Assembly’s Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC), concluding the committee’s last hearing for 2026.
The ministry was represented by principal secretary Vicky Van Der Westhuizen, financial controller Marlene Valentin, and director general for Human Resources Cecile de Commarmond. During the session, committee members examined issues highlighted in the Auditor General’s 2024 report.
