New awards framework recognises 93 businesses

The Tourism Department recognised 93 tourism businesses and a number of industry employees during the fifth edition of the Lospitalite Lafyerte Sesel Service Excellence Awards held at the Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa on Saturday.

The ceremony introduced a new three-tier recognition system for tourism businesses, replacing the previous first, second and third-place format. Businesses were recognised under the Commitment, Aspiration and Excellence tiers according to the standards achieved during assessments. Those scoring between 70 and 79 per cent received Commitment recognition, those scoring between 80 and 89 per cent were placed in the Aspiration tier, while businesses achieving between 90 and 100 per cent received Excellence, the programme's highest level of recognition.
