Young Seychellois contribute to national climate dialogue

More than 40 young Seychellois gathered at Eden Bleu Resort on Saturday for the country’s first-ever Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Pre-Consultation Meeting, aimed at generating youth perspectives, priorities and recommendations to inform the LCOY process and strengthen youth participation in climate action.

The outcomes of the discussions will contribute to a regional youth statement incorporating views from young people across the region, including Seychelles. The statement will help inform discussions at COP31 in November on young people’s perspectives on climate change.
