Designers begin work on national costume
The search for a national costume that captures the identity, heritage, and creativity of Seychelles has begun, with local designers and artisans gathering this week to develop ideas for what could become the country’s first officially adopted National Costume Collection.
The creative journey started yesterday as selected Seychellois designers and artisans convened for the Seychelles National Costume Development Programme 2026, organised by the Department of Culture, Arts & National Heritage within the Ministry of Tourism & Culture.
