Sweden reaffirms SRHR commitment, urges young people to turn ideas into solutions
Sweden has reaffirmed sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) as a central pillar of its international development cooperation, describing bodily autonomy, gender equality and access to essential health services as indispensable to resilient and sustainable societies.
Swedish ambassador to South Africa, Anna Karin Eneström, made the remarks when she opened the ‘Sweden on the Road: Gender-responsive Climate Action Edition’ at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Westville Campus on September 9, 2026.
