Seychelles advances small island priorities
A high-level delegation from Seychelles, led by the Principal Minister and Minister for Fisheries,
Agriculture & Blue Economy, Wallace Cosgrow, participated at the 37th Session of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) Committee on Fisheries (COFI37) in Rome from September 7 to 11, 2026. COFI is the main FAO body responsible for addressing global matters related to fisheries and aquaculture.
The ministerial delegation delivered strategic national and regional interventions relating to concerns and opportunities for small island developing states (Sids) such as Seychelles.
