Seychelles advances climate resilience
Seychelles has officially launched the RES-Islands Initiative, a project designed to strengthen institutional readiness, improve multi-hazard risk assessment and information systems, build technical capacity, and support the development of robust pipelines of climate-resilient projects capable of accessing international climate finance.
The launch of the project – ‘Strengthening the Institutional Capacities of the African Island States Climate Commission (AISCC) Member States to Manage Climate Risks and Bolster Resilience’ – was announced by Minister for Environment, Climate, Energy & Natural Resources Marie-May Jeremie during a workshop held yesterday at the Gardens Hill Resort & Spa, Beau Vallon.
