La Digue gears up for Assumption Feast 2026 with three days of faith, culture and entertainment

La Digue is preparing to welcome hundreds of visitors for the 2026 Assumption Feast, with organisers promising three days of religious observances, cultural performances, sporting activities, and family entertainment under the theme ‘Celebrating the Spirit of La Digue: Faith, Culture, Unity’.
The programme, running from Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 16, was unveiled on Tuesday during a press conference hosted by the Ministry of Local Government & Inner Islands.
