Remembering Dr Valentina Seth: A life of compassion, service, and principle
The passing of Dr Valentina Seth on Thursday this week has left a profound void among her family, colleagues, patients, and the wider community she served with unwavering dedication. Remembered as a devoted paediatrician, a woman of strong principles, and a compassionate humanitarian, her legacy extends far beyond the hospitals and clinics where she practised.
Born on February 14, 1964 in Nairobi, Kenya, Dr Seth spent her early childhood there before moving to Seychelles at around age 12. She completed her schooling locally before travelling to Germany, where she pursued medical studies for nine years. During that time, she became a mother to her only son, Frank Seth, at age 29.
