Seychelles strengthens regional leadership at Africa Blue Economy Week 2026

The Republic of Seychelles reaffirmed its leadership in advancing the sustainable Blue Economy through the participation of Principal Minister and Minister for Fisheries, Agriculture & Blue Economy, Wallace Cosgrow, and Terrence Crea, director of the Blue Economy Department, at the 3rd Africa Blue Economy Week, held in Luanda, Angola, from July 22–25, 2026.

Convened under the theme ‘From Strategy to Action: Political Leadership for Africa’s Blue Economy Transformation’, the high‑level event brought together ministers, policymakers, development partners, private sector representatives, researchers and regional organisations to strengthen collaboration towards a sustainable and inclusive Blue Economy across Africa.
