Health minister outlines plans to improve healthcare services

 Minister for Health Marvin Fanny appeared before the National Assembly yesterday to answer questions on waiting times, facility upgrades, and staffing shortages.

 The first question, submitted by Hon. Nelsia Balisa‑Lepathy (Grand Anse Mahé) and asked on her behalf by Hon. Egbert Aglae (Port Glaud), sought clarification on measures to reduce delays for medical tests such as ultrasounds and MRIs, specialist appointments, and test results.

Minister Fanny acknowledged the concern and distress caused by long waiting times.

“Our goal is to improve the patient experience and maintain the dignity of those seeking healthcare. We are committed to ensuring that quality healthcare is not only available but also accessible in a timely manner,” he said.
