Seypec’s new tanker prepares for sea trials |08 July 2026

The Seychelles Petroleum Company’s second new 41,000 DWT tanker – Seychelles Pearl – entered the water for the first time this week, marking another milestone in the company’s fleet renewal programme.
The vessel was officially launched by director of Shipping and chief engineer, Martin Roucou, who had the honour of pressing the launch button and releasing it into the water.
The launch represents another step in the Seychelles Petroleum Company’s (Seypec’s) long-term investment in building a modern, competitive, and sustainable fleet.
