PEMC and NBS partner for better service delivery

 

The Public Enterprise Monitoring Commission and the National Bureau of Statistics have officially signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance collaboration and improve the sharing of information between the two institutions.

This partnership is expected to strengthen data quality, reduce duplication in reporting, improve efficiency, and support better evidence-based policy and decision-making. By working together, both institutions aim to streamline data collection from public enterprises, ease reporting burdens, and ensure more accurate and timely national statistics.

The signing marks another important step towards stronger public sector coordination and improved service delivery for Seychelles.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by:

  • Kalum Bandara – CEO, Public Enterprise Monitoring Commission (PEMC)
  • William Zarine – chairperson, Board of Commissioners
  • Kevin Bistoquet – CEO, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS)
  • Elizabeth Agathine – chairperson, Board of Directors
  • Peter Sinon – executive director, Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade & Investment, who acted as witness.
