Opposition leader criticises Speaker’s ruling on ADFD question
The leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Hon. Bernard Georges of Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS), expressed disappointment with the ruling of Speaker Azarel Ernesta, who disallowed his Private Notice Question seeking clarification on whether the US $50 million received by Seychelles from the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) in 2002 was a loan rather than a grant, as had previously been reported.
Hon. Georges made the comments yesterday morning during a press conference at the LDS headquarters at Arpent Vert, held during a break in National Assembly proceedings.
