SPNM extends Children’s Day greetings and pledges support

“Dear Children of Seychelles, today is your day. A day to celebrate. On behalf of the Seychelles People’s National Movement (SPNM), we wish a very happy and blessed Children’s Day to all the wonderful children across our beautiful islands!

“As a movement deeply committed to upholding strong family values and tackling our social challenges, we recognise that you – our children – are the most vital part of the Seychellois nation. On this day our dearest children we urge you to choose peace: never resolve your disagreements with violence, fighting, or bullying. Use your words constructively. Always speak with kindness and respect to solve misunderstandings with your peers. Value your education, learn as much as you can, for knowledge is your greatest strength. Dream big: Believe in your unique talents and your potential to build a better Seychelles.

“SPNM firmly believes that the true measure of our nation’s soul is how we protect and nurture you. We pledge to continue advocating for primarily for safe learning environments: Ensuring every school is a secure, peaceful sanctuary free from fear, disruption, and violence. Secondly, we pledge for strong family units, supporting parents to create homes filled with love, protection, and moral values. Thirdly we pledge for community protection: Fighting the social ills, like drug abuse, that threaten the safety of our neighbourhoods.

“To all the parents, teachers, and caregivers who work tirelessly to guide our children in peace – thank you for your invaluable devotion. We will stand with you and will be a voice for you.

“May God bless all our children, and may your day be filled with happiness!”
