Meet the artisans behind the revamped Victoria Clock Tower
The Victoria Clock Tower (Lorloz), one of Seychelles’ most iconic national monuments and the beating heart of the capital, has recently undergone a remarkable restoration. The two-month project combined international expertise with passionate local craftsmanship to return the landmark to its former glory.
Seychelles NATION sat down with two dedicated Seychellois artisans, Eddie Westergreen and Christopher Preira, who worked tirelessly alongside renowned British clockmakers Gillett & Johnston to ensure the Clock Tower will stand proudly for generations to come.
