Private sector rallies behind Seychelles’ 50th Independence Day celebrations
The National Day Celebrations Committee yesterday received generous donations of cash and memorabilia from four private organisations in support of the upcoming festivities marking Seychelles’ 50th Independence Day anniversary.
Sacos Insurance Group was the first to contribute. Represented by chief executive Georgette Capricieuse, Sacos presented a batch of specially designed 50th Independence Day umbrellas.
The second donation came from the Seaward Group of Companies. Seaward Co. Ltd. contributed R100,000, while Seafront Logistics and Casco Ltd. each donated R25,000. Their collective support also included a set of commemorative memorabilia. The group was represented by Sharon Bouzin, accounts supervisor at Seafront Logistics.
