Unruly passenger removed from diverted IndiGo flight 1862
The Seychelles Airports Authority (SAA) has confirmed that IndiGo flight 1862, operating from Mauritius to Bengaluru, was diverted to Seychelles yesterday, following reports of an unruly passenger and her companion onboard.
Following the aircraft’s arrival, response protocols were activated immediately. Health officials, Aviation Security (AVSEC) personnel, and police officers boarded the aircraft, and the passengers were safely escorted off and handed over to the relevant authorities.
The incident was managed swiftly and professionally by all responding agencies, ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations and prioritising the safety and security of passengers, crew, and staff.
