The Seychelles community is mourning the peaceful passing of Marguerite Marie Robert, who departed this world on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 101. Surrounded by family at her daughter’s home, Mrs Robert leaves behind a remarkable legacy of love, resilience, and community spirit.

Born on December 22, she celebrated her 101st birthday last year. A beloved figure in Saint Louis, she was known for her vibrant personality and role as a matriarch. Her family includes 12 children – seven sons and five daughters – along with 41 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, reflecting the deep bonds she nurtured throughout her life.
