With just 50 days remaining before Seychelles marks its 50th National Independence Day, a nationwide programme of celebrations has been launched with the aim of uniting the country through patriotism, culture, history, and community participation.

The announcement was made during a press conference led by the Chair of the National Day Celebrations Committee and Principal Minister, Wallace Cosgrow, alongside co-chair Amanda Bernstein at the National Day Celebrations Secretariat.

The celebrations, which will culminate on June 28 and 29, commemorate 50 years since Seychelles gained independence in 1976.
