Minister Barry Faure meets President of Turkmenistan

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora of the Republic of Seychelles, BarryFaure, met with Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President of the Republic of Turkmenistan on April 29, 2026 in Ashgabat, during his first official visit to the Central Asian country.

Minister Faure conveyed warm greetings from Dr Patrick Herminie, the President of Seychelles, and reaffirmed the importance Seychelles attaches to expanding its engagement with Central Asia, including Turkmenistan. Discussions focused on advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, tourism, and cultural exchange, as well as exploring opportunities to enhance connectivity and people-to-people ties.
