“On the occasion of World Tuna Day, we are reminded of the importance of tuna, not only to the Seychelles economy but to global food security and the well-being of millions of people worldwide. In Seychelles, tuna sustains livelihoods, supports access to quality and nutritious food, and remains deeply embedded in our economic and social fabric.
“As a small island developing state strategically located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, Seychelles has long been connected to the tuna fishery.
