Seychelles National Assembly strengthens global parliamentary role at 152nd IPU Assembly

The National Assembly of Seychelles participated in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Istanbul, Türkiye. The delegation was led by Speaker Hon. Azarel Ernesta and comprised Hon. Sathya Naidu, Hon. Claudette Louise, director in the Office of the Speaker Nickey Antat, and IPU Desk Officer Emma Didon.

Throughout the Assembly, the delegation actively engaged in plenary sittings, thematic debates, and statutory meetings, contributing to discussions on pressing global and parliamentary issues. A major highlight was the election of the new secretary general of the IPU, in which Seychelles played an active role, including in the voting process.
