Executive leadership change at DBS |18 April 2026
The Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade & Investment has announced that the government has agreed, in accordance with the provisions of the chief executive officer’s (CEO) contract of the Development Bank of Seychelles (DBS) to exit her position.
This decision takes into consideration the strategic direction of the institution and its evolving priorities. The government expresses its appreciation for Jean Preira’s service and contribution to the DBS and wishes her well in her future endeavours.
The government has initiated the recruitment process to identify and appoint a new chief executive for DBS.
To ensure continuity in leadership and operations, Rana Fernandes has been appointed as acting chief executive with immediate effect. Ms Fernandes brings with her extensive experience and knowledge of the bank’s operations and is well positioned to provide stability during this transition period.
