The Court of Appeal resumed its session yesterday, marking the first sitting for this year, with 12 appeal cases expected to be heard during the April hearing.

Among the 12 cases listed for hearing, one is an appeal arising from a criminal case and the others are civil cases. Two of the appeals originally scheduled to be heard have been withdrawn and two others are due to be withdrawn at the roll call. The 12 appeals were filed after the preparation of the cause list for the December 2025 session.

There are still 10 civil appeals remaining, which the court intends to list for hearing during the August 2026 session. These appeals were filed during the months of February and March 2026. To continue reading, please click here to subscribe to Seychelles NATION’s e copy
