Health ministry marks World Kidney Day at Seychelles Hospital
The Ministry of Health marked World Kidney Day 2026 with a series of meaningful activities at the Seychelles Hospital yesterday, highlighting the importance of kidney health.
The event served as recognition of the resilience of patients and the generosity of voluntary blood donors.
Minister for Health, Marvin Fanny, visited the Dialysis unit, where he distributed gifts to dialysis patients in recognition of their strength and courage in living with kidney disease.
Certificates were also presented to voluntary blood donors at the Blood Transfusion Unit, acknowledging their commitment to supporting patients in need.
The morning concluded with a religious service at the Dialysis unit, offering prayers and reflection for patients and healthcare workers.
Together, we continue to raise awareness about kidney health and celebrate the compassion and dedication within our healthcare community.
