Beach soccer funding, environmental conditions and land survey questions raised

Three more witnesses appeared before the Commission of Inquiry into the lease and development of Assomption Island yesterday, while another individual opted to give their testimony in private.

The first was attorney-at-law Elvis Chetty, who is also the president of the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF).

Mr Chetty explained that a company was incorporated to act as the local organising committee (LOC) for the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Beach Soccer World Cup and he chaired that committee.
