National Assembly approves 2026 budget for Transport ministry and agencies
The National Assembly has approved the 2026 budget allocations for the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, along with several agencies under its purview. The allocations are outlined in the Appropriation Bill 2026.
Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation
The ministry has been allocated R47,115 million, a decrease of R41.9 million compared to the revised 2025 budget of nearly R89 million.
Key changes include:
- +R5.4 million for wages and salaries
- –R1.8 million for goods and services
- –R45 million for non-financial assets
