Closer Seychelles–Mauritius cooperation on the horizon

Relations between Mauritius and Seychelles are set to enter a new phase of cooperation as the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, undertakes a State visit to Mauritius from March 11 to 14, 2026.

The visit, which coincides with Mauritius’ National Day celebrations, was announced during a recent Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam. President Herminie will serve as Chief Guest at the traditional Flag Raising Ceremony at Champ de Mars in Port Louis on March 12, underscoring the close ties between the two Indian Ocean neighbours.
