Healthcare, climate change, the war in the Middle East, the Multi-Dimensional Vulnerability Index, child abuse, and mental health were among the main topics discussed during a courtesy call yesterday afternoon by the United Nations resident coordinator for Mauritius and Seychelles, Lisa Singh, on President Patrick Herminie.

Delegates highlighted the potential impact of the Middle East conflict on Seychelles’ tourism-dependent economy, noting disruptions to flight operations in the region and the likelihood of rising fuel prices, which could drive up the overall cost of goods and services.
