Canadian High Commissioner calls on Speaker Ernesta

The newly accredited Canadian High Commissioner to Seychelles, Emily Burns, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Azarel Ernesta, yesterday afternoon at the Assembly precinct, Ile Du Port.

The meeting began with an exchange of greetings, followed by a brief overview of the introductory visits Mrs Burns has undertaken since her arrival in Seychelles.

She noted that her visit coincides with the ongoing national budget deliberations – a vital democratic process with the potential to positively impact citizens’ daily lives.
