Minister Faure in discussion with the special envoy for Austria Herbert Scheibner

Seychelles discusses Austria’s bid for permanent seat on UNSC

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, Barry Faure, has met with Herbert Scheibner, special envoy of Austria and former Minister for Defence, and discussed Austria’s candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.

The special envoy presented Austria’s vision for the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), noting the need to strengthen dialogue with African nations and to reform the UNSC to ensure permanent seats on the Council for the African Continent.
