Betty Mondon is the winner of the second Blue Economy Business Challenge Fund with her idea titled ‘A sustainable zero-waste women-led model of demersal fish processing at Anse Etoile community’.
Mrs Mondon was presented with the winning prize, a cheque worth R75,000 by Principal Minister and Minister for Fisheries, Agriculture and Blue Economy, Wallace Cosgrow, and deputy managing director of sponsor, which is the Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB), Dolly Tirant, in a prize giving ceremony held yesterday morning at the Blue Economy headquarters, Maison Collet.
