Born on February 14 – a day synonymous with love – Christie Valentina Rath seems destined to embody its meaning. From Mont Fleuri to Hungary, the young Seychellois has carved an inspiring academic journey, earning a government scholarship and now pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor at the prestigious University of Szeged.

At just 21 years old, Christie is in her third year of medical studies, navigating one of the most demanding academic paths with grace, determination, and humility. Beyond her academic excellence, she is also a cultural ambassador, proudly showcasing Seychelles through traditional dance on international stages.

In this Valentine’s Day feature, Seychelles NATION spoke to Christie about her journey, her roots, her dreams, and the love that has shaped her life.
