ADFD backs Seychelles with $8.7 million housing grant

The government of Seychelles and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development have signed a grant agreement worth approximately US $8.7 million to advance the country’s national social housing programme.

The signing took place yesterday on the margins of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, reinforcing strong bilateral cooperation between Seychelles and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Minister for Finance, Economic Planning, Trade and Investment, Pierre Laporte, signed on behalf of Seychelles, while the director general of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Mohammed Saif Al‑Suwaidi, represented the Fund.
