Youth ambassadors of Seychelles head to India for NCC exchange 2026 |17 January 2026

The Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) has officially seen off a delegation of six youths from the SNYC Youth Brigade (Mahé), who departed earlier this week to take part in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) youth exchange programme in India.

The group will join the prestigious Republic Day Camp 2026 as part of a two‑week exchange initiative.

A brief send‑off was hosted by the High Commission of India, attended by SNYC chief executive Michel Pierre and Indian High Commissioner Rohit Rathish.

During the event, Mr Pierre expressed appreciation to the high commissioner for facilitating this enriching opportunity, stressing the importance of international youth exchanges in broadening perspectives, strengthening leadership skills, and fostering cross‑cultural understanding.
