Seychelles celebrates 10 years of National Sids Day with Miss Sids 2025

Seychelles has proudly marked the 10th anniversary of National Small Island Developing States (Sids) Day, celebrating a decade of raising awareness and inspiring young people about the unique challenges and strengths of island nations worldwide.

Launched by Seychelles in 2015, Sids Day has grown into a cornerstone of the schools’ environmental education calendar. The initiative shines a spotlight on the shared environmental, social, and economic challenges faced by small island states, while also celebrating their resilience, culture, and contributions to sustainable development.
