Youngest Seychellois mountaineer Megan Rose climbs Mount Kenya
Megan Rose is now the youngest Seychellois mountaineer to have scaled Mount Kenya’s third highest peak - Point Lenana. She achieved this feat in the space of 28 hours on December 9, 2025.
Seven-year-old Megan did the Mount Kenya dash via the Sirimon-sirimon route. Megan is the daughter of mountaineer and adventurer Catherine Rose, who became the first Seychellois to reach Lobuche Peak in the Everest region earlier this year, followed by two other peaks last month namely Sudek and Koitobos of Mount Elgon in Kenya.
