Seychelles to open embassies in Cuba and Mauritius   |13 December 2025

Seychelles will soon be opening two new embassies namely in Cuba and Mauritius.

President Patrick Herminie confirmed this in an exclusive interview with the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). He was responding to enquiry regarding a memo in circulation citing the appointment of six individuals namely Jacques Belle, Jacqueline Moustache-Belle, Andre Pool, Nicholas Prea, Terry Romain and Patrick Victor.

Speaking to SBC journalist, the Head of State confirmed the appointment of Jacques Belle, Terry Romain, and Andre Pool. President Herminie said some ambassadors stationed overseas will be recalled home while some are retiring. He said the new appointments will be announced soon, with the opening of two new embassies.
