Seychelles Voluntary National Review
Seychelles remains a leader in sustainable development in terms of human capital development, ocean governance, climate change actions including in the economic aspect, in the last five years following the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the United Nations 2025 Voluntary National Review report. However, the country still remains vulnerable to external shocks and climate change.
For Seychelles, the Voluntary National Review (VNR) presented to the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), highlights the country’s progress, challenges, and commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. It reflects the voice, vision, and values of population’s resilience in the face of adversity such as climate change and external shocks, determined in their pursuit of progress, and united by a deep respect for the planet.
