Orchid Village enters second and third phases |02 August 2025

Orchid Village housing estate in Barbarons has entered its second and third phases with the laying of the foundation stone and unveiling of a commemorative plaque.
This was done by the Head of State, President Wavel Ramkalawan; Lands and Housing Minister, Billy Rangasamy; chargé d'affaires of the embassy of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Saeed Alneyadi; and member of the National Assembly for Grand Anse Mahé, Honourable Waven William during a ceremony yesterday morning.
Orchid Village, located at Barbarons, Grand Anse Mahé, is a three-phase project providing affordable houses to residents. The first was completed in 2019. Phases two and three will include the construction of 80 units – 32 two-bedroom units and 48 three-bedroom units. The main contractors are Ascent Projects and GIBB (Seychelles) Limited.
