Beau Vallon primary and secondary win first prize
Beau Vallon primary and secondary schools have both clinched first place in their respective categories in the School Wheelbarrow Garden Competition 2025.
In the primary category, Bel Eau school took second place, while Baie Ste Anne Praslin school secured third place. Three schools received Special Effort Awards namely Grand Anse Praslin, the School for the Exceptional Child, and Plaisance primary.
In the secondary category, Anse Boileau came in second, followed by Pointe Larue in third place.
Lana Lavigne from Beau Vallon secondary shared that “our school created a wheelbarrow using old items like broken chairs and tables. We wanted to make a recycled wheelbarrow because it is better for the environment”.
Abdel Mousbe from Beau Vallon primary added that “our school made a small garden with different types of flowers. We all had to plant them and take care of them”.
