Regis Francourt announces his intention to run for president in this year’s election
Regis Francourt, a well-known figure in Seychelles’ political arena, has officially announced his intention to stand as an independent candidate for President in the general elections, scheduled for September 25, 26 and 27, 2025.
The 64-year-old tourism and finance specialist is the ninth Seychellois to enter the race for the country's highest office. His running mate is 63-year-old Gelage Hoareau, a human resources specialist. Their motto for the election is ‘Pour anmenn solisyon - fodre sanz direksyon’ (‘Change of direction-for better solution’).
