Minister Radegonde attends high-level Sids AIS meeting in Cabo Verde

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, attended a high-level meeting of small island developing states of the Atlantic, Indian Ocean and South China Sea (Sids AIS) which took place in Cabo Verde from May 15 to 16, 2025.

The meeting was held under the theme ‘United in Resiliency for a Sustainable Future’.

The meeting was convened to strengthen coordination among the AIS Sids with the objective of collectively addressing the pressing challenges currently confronting these nations.

One of the key outcomes was the establishment of a coordination mechanism to facilitate sustained collaboration and joint action among this group of island states.

Minister Radegonde was accompanied by the Seychelles ambassador to the United Nations in New York, Ian Madeleine.
