Tourists embrace our biodiversity at Le Ravin de Fond Ferdinand

Planting an endemic plant in a foreign country is not an opportunity one gets everyday. It is a unique experience that one will never forget. This is exactly how Vivien Palvölgyi and Adrian Hess from Switzerland felt when they planted a coco de mer seed yesterday morning at Le Ravin de Fond Ferdinand on Praslin.
The couple, along with several other tourists, were all part of a group visiting this place of untamed beauty. It was the second activity organised this week on Praslin to mark this year’s International Biodiversity Day which is today, whereby a group of visitors on a guided tour got the chance to plant a coco de mer seed in an area called Aux Louis.
