“Today, we celebrate the heartbeat of our health system, our nurses. You are caregivers, educators, and leaders who work tirelessly to keep our nation healthy. Your contribution doesn’t just save lives; it drives our economy by keeping families strong, children thriving, and workers healthy. When nurses are supported, health outcomes improve, productivity rises, and national spending on preventable illnesses decreases. The strength of our nursing workforce is directly linked to the strength and resilience of our economy.
