Cabinet approves correction to Silhouette National Park boundaries

The Cabinet has approved an amendment to correct the schedule description of Silhouette National Park’s boundaries at Anse La Passe and Grand Barbe. This change will ensure that the written legal description of the park now matches the official GIS maps.
The correction comes after discrepancies were identified during an environmental impact assessment (EIA). The amendment is intended to ensure legal clarity and consistency between what is described in law and what is shown on the maps. Vice President Ahmed Afif, who spoke at a press briefing on Thursday, following Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, explained the importance of aligning the description with the map.
